At Yessenow Centre for Plastic Surgery, we are committed to excellence and expertise in the fields of plastic, cosmetic, and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Randall S. Yessenow is highly regarded by both patients and peers as an excellent surgeon and artist. His love of plastic surgery, which he has practiced in Northwest Indiana since 1991, clearly shows in his work.

We have three convenient office locations in Merrillville, Munster and Chesterton, Indiana. In Merrillville, we are located in the same building as a state-of-the-art surgery center that can accommodate overnight stays. The nursing staff and anesthesia team will strive to provide you with the utmost in comfort and safety. In addition, Dr. Yessenow is on staff at many of the area’s leading hospitals.

Educational Background

An honors graduate of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Dr. Yessenow continued his education at The Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus. Upon earning his doctor of medicine degree in 1984, he received the Landacre Society Award for Medical Research and Samuel J. Roessler Medical Research Scholar Award. During this time, Dr. Yessenow had several papers published in medical journals and contributed to several textbooks.

He then went on to attend the highly selective ear, nose, and throat (otolaryngology) program at the University of Iowa. Upon finishing his five-year residency at the University of Iowa, he attended the University of Oklahoma. He spent three months of the residency in New York City training with some of the top cosmetic surgeons in the country. In 1991, he completed his training in plastic surgery.

In 1989, Dr. Yessenow was certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, and, in 1993, he was certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. In order to keep abreast of the latest developments in cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery, Dr. Yessenow regularly attends national continuing education meetings and seminars. He has published several articles in his specialty journals, and co-authored several textbook chapters.

Office Staff

Dr. Yessenow’s dedication to his profession is reflected in the care and support of his outstanding long-term staff. The office manager, Valorie Peck, has 25 years' experience in the field of plastic surgery. Prior to her 12-year stint with Dr. Yessenow, she was administrator for the Section of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Chicago. Our clinical manager, Debbie, has been with us for 11 years, and she uses this experience to make your clinical visit productive yet comfortable. Our billing specialist, Glenda, who has been with our team for nine years, uses her expertise to efficiently handle billing questions for our patients and to take care of their needs upon check-in and check-out.

Hours of Operation

Our office is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. During these hours, appointments can be made and questions answered. When needed, special arrangements can be made for appointments outside these times. Our toll free number is 877-636-5818.
